“Tonight’s Tiny Showcase artist is someone I met when we both moved far from home for no concrete reason and ended up in Scotland one winter. Which only proves that making unfounded but honest-feeling decisions leads to like-kinds of people and experiences?
Since then, Scott Kennedy has steadily progressed on the path of being one of the single most gifted artists I know. It catches my breath every time I check in with his new work. And to think that in the style of the peak illustrators of all time, this work is created by dipping a brush into ink, stooping over a sheet of paper, and drawing an endless amount of small lines that culminate in something breathtaking.
